KUT-KUTX Membership Drive Thank You Gifts

Summer internships at KUT Public Media are more than just a resume boost 鈥� they鈥檙e an immersive, 30-hour-a-week experience that gives emerging professionals a real feel for life at a public media organization.This year鈥檚 intern cohort is especially dynamic, made up of current students and recent grads 鈥� some studying here in Austin, others returning home for the summer after time away at school.

Join us for a casual morning meet-up on Saturday, June 7, at Mazama Coffee Co. in Dripping Springs between 9 and 11 a.m. Grab a coffee, say hello to some of the folks behind KUT Public Media 鈥� including Hays County reporter Maya Fawaz 鈥� and pick up some free KUT News swag. We鈥檇 love to meet you and hear what matters most to you in your community.

The PRX Podcast Creator Summit on the Apple campus will feature lectures, panels, hands-on training and 1-on-1 mentoring.

The Long Center and KUTX 98.9鈥檚 The Drop-In returns May 22 with free weekly summer concerts on the lawn, running Thursday evenings through August 14. This year鈥檚 lineup features a dynamic mix of iconic and emerging Austin artists 鈥� set against skyline views and a one-of-a-kind 3D-printed stage.

Presented by the Texas Association of Broadcasters, the awards highlight excellence in local journalism. KUT News and "Texas Standard" were jointly recognized for Overall Broadcast Excellence, with standout wins in digital storytelling, election coverage, feature reporting and more.
