Fulmore Middle School鈥檚 Advanced Girls Choir has been invited to participate in the performance at Carnegie Hall in January.
asked the choir to perform his 鈥淢usic for Treble Voices.鈥� Nunez, Director of the Youth Choir of New York heard the perform while attending the in Dallas. He was impressed with both the girls and their director, Yvette Carroll.
The choir will accept the invitation, if all of the girls are have an equal opportunity to go, regardless of their family鈥檚 financial situation. Because 76 percent of Fulmore鈥檚 student body is classified as economically disadvantaged, many of the girls鈥� can cover little to none of the cost of the trip. Fulmore has been working to raise funds to cover the remainder of the $45,000 it will cost to send the choir to New York for the performance.
