Rick Perry has had a few slips on the campaign trail.

Governor Rick Perry made another misstep on the campaign trail today.  While speaking to college students at the at , Perry asked students who would be at least 21 years old on Election Day to vote for him.

Then he said, "…those of you that won’t be, just work hard," for his campaign.

The voting age is of course 18, and it has been the United States adopted the to the U.S. Constitution in 1971.

The flub doesn't end there.  Perry said Election Day was "November the 12th."  It's actually November 6. Election Day in the United States on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

A few other memorable Perry mistakes:

  • He told a young child Texas public schools  side by side.
  • He told students gathered at post debate gathering at a Dartmouth fraternity house that .
  • He said gay couples . (Perry's campaign argues this is true because state law only allows a male and female couple to adopt, but there is nothing to keep a gay person from adopting, even if they live with a partner)
  • And, of course, during the CNBC Republican presidential debate.
